Try this recipe originated from the Meatloaf ..

Congratulations to Joanne from Aurora Spar for her creative and inspiring dish made from our Meatloaf!

You will need:

  • 1 x 1kg Kim?s Gourmet Meat Loaf
  • 1/2 x Green Pepper
  • 1/2 x Onion 6 x Wooden Skewers
  • 1/2 x Red Peper
  • Sweet Chilli Sauce

Method of Preparation:

Allow the meatloaf to defrost slightly; just enough to make it easy to work with and cut into six equal pieces. **Do not allow the meatloaf to defrost completely

Place the skewer through the centre of the cut piece and use your hands to shape the meatloaf around the skewer.

Cut the onion as well as green and red pepper into square chunks. Once you have done this take 1 piece of each and place at the end of each side of the skewer. So your skewer should look like this:

When they are done, place in a baking tray with a little bit of oil at the bottom so that they do not stick and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for +- 15-20 min **depending on your oven

Once they are cooked, place in your serving dish, pour a little sweet chilli sauce over them and place in your bain-marie! Quick and easy, not to mention delicious!

** Variation ~ Instead of making one large oval shaped meatloaf, use one of the six portions you cut from the 1kg meatloaf and make three round balls (as you can see in the photograph) and in-between each meatloaf ball, put a piece of onion, green & red pepper
